While grades can capture one aspect of a student's academic progress, it often serves as a reflection of performance after the fact. In this session, we will consider how we can move beyond merely grading papers and empower students to own their learning by providing them an opportunity to capture their voice and showcase their learning along the way through the use of a student portfolio.
