This training builds on the skills from the Basic FIEP training.Participants must have attended a Basic FIEP training before registering for this event. Optimal results from this training will be achieved when teams attend the training together and support follow-up and practice to reinforce learning. Teams may include:

1) school-based teams including the ARD Chairperson

2) ARD Facilitators
-
3) special education evaluation personnel
-
4) campus and district level administrators
-
5) any ARD or committee member interested in preventing and resolving conflicts early.
Teams may also include parents of students with disabilities who are interested in developing positive relationships to improve services for their children.The skills and knowledge presented in the training are applicable to all situations in which disagreement may arise, not just the special education arena.
