Behavior Management in the Pre-K Classroom

Creating an environment that is warm, welcoming and safe for all children who enter the classroom, is the beginning to having a classroom where misbehavior will be at a minimum.  Problematic behavior in the early childhood classroom has become a common occurrence that can create frustration for the classroom teacher.  Becoming proactive with classroom management and social emotional learning will help accomplish a smoother, more productive day, along with decreasing frustrations for the teacher and the students. In this all day session, educators will learn what the PreK Guidelines state about social emotional learning, classroom management and learn techniques to be proactive with problematic behaviors.
