In education, students who qualify for gifted programs as well as having learning differences, learning disabilities, or receiving other services are described as “twice exceptional” learners or with “multiple exceptionalities”. These children often get lost, and because of their talents, these students often find themselves hiding in the “average” populations. In this session will learn what it means to have multiple exceptionalities, how to help identify those students in our classrooms, and how to help cultivate their gifts as we address their needs.
