The CPI Foundation course helps participants identify behavior that indicates an escalation toward aggressive and violent behavior to take appropriate measures to avoid, decelerate, and/or de-escalate crisis situations. The participant will be able to assess the level of risk associated with crisis behavior and make appropriate decisions related to the management of such risks. Finally, the participant will be able to use suitable and acceptable physical interventions to reduce or manage risk behavior, identify the impact of crisis events using post-crisis responses for personal and organizational support and learning.

This class is being offered in a blended model.  The verbal portion will be completed online and the physical portion and post-test will be completed in the face-to-face training at Region 10. No registrations will be allowed after the deadline.

1. The registrant will receive an email from “CPI Learning” notifying them that the virtual class is ready to be taken. The time that is taken for the course is monitored by CPI.
2. The class will take 2.5-3 hours keeping the place of the participant as they start and stop the course.
3. No participants will be allowed to take the physical face-to-face portion unless they have first completed the virtual class.

There are two price tiers for this event

1.   Region 10 public local education agencies receive $45.00 registration

2.   Out of Region and/or Private/Non-Profit entities pay $175.00
