The Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs: 6th Edition Focus Group




Counselor Initiative and Student Support (CISS) is a cooperative designed to provide high-quality services, resources and training.  CISS will serve as a vital school counselor resource with opportunities to network for discussions related to best practices, cutting edge research-based programs, and the latest updates from the Texas Education Agency regarding school counselor roles and responsibilities.


Important Session Information:


The 6th edition will build from the existing structure and tools in the 5th edition. We are looking to update legal references, include additional tools, and ensure that the Texas Model continues to be an excellent resource for building comprehensive school counseling programs. The sections and foundational organization will remain the same.

Focus groups will meet across the state with a variety of stakeholders to gain insight and feedback for the 6th edition.
