Behavior Management in the Pre-K Classroom: Being Proactive in teaching SEL Skills in the Early Childhood Environment.
Creating an environment that is warm, welcoming, and safe for all children who enter the classroom, is foundational to having a classroom where misbehavior will be at a minimum. Problematic behavior in the early childhood classroom has become a common occurrence that can create frustration for the classroom teacher. Becoming proactive with classroom management and social emotional learning will help accomplish a smoother, more productive day, as well as decreasing frustrations for the teacher and students.
In this full day session, educators will learn what the PreK Guidelines state about social emotional learning as well as classroom management. Participants will also learn techniques to be proactive with problematic behaviors.
