Orthographic Processing
Evaluating Orthographic Processing




 

Orthographic Processing is the ability to visually recognize and remember written words and parts of words. It includes the ability to immediately recognize letter sequences and patterns and to spell phonetically irregular words and has significant relationships to dysgraphia and related disoders.

This training will provide additional information on the nature, evaluation, identification, and/or intervention related to Orthographic Processing. See session description below for additional details. 


Important Session Information:


Dr. David Kilpatrick will discuss the research regarding orthographic processing and orthographic mapping and share best practices for evaluating these processes when conducting evaluations for dyslexia and/or dysgraphia.

There are two price tiers for this event:

1.   Region 10 public local education agencies receive free registration. 

2.   Out of Region and/or Private/Non-Profit entities pay $75.00.
