Child Nutrition Programs (CACFP)
CACFP Special Diets, Including Food Allergies




The Child Nutrition Program provides technical assistance, training and resources to child and adult day cares and school districts in order to promote effective management of the federal funded nutrition programs. This is in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.


Important Session Information:


Knowledge of special diet requests and menus ensures that individuals with dietary restrictions or health concerns receive proper nutrition in care settings. This approach not only promotes inclusivity and health but also complies with federal regulations to accommodate special dietary needs.

Please Note: Course credit is only given to attendees who are present for a minimum of 85% of the course training.
