Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Expedition is a four session series specifically designed to meet the unique needs of classroom teachers that serve ECSE students whether that is in a self-contained, blended, or co-teach classroom. During these sessions, we will address the following topics:
Session 1: Wednesday, September 27, 2023
- The 2022 updated Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines, Early Childhood Outcomes, & Classroom Environment
Session 2: Thursday, November 30, 2023
- Thematic Centers to Meet the Needs of Diverse Learners
Session 3: Wednesday, January 31, 2024
- Challenging Behavior Part 1 & PLAAFPs & IEP Development
Session 4: Wednesday, March 27, 2024
- Challenging Behavior Part 2 & Putting It All Together
The participants will gain a variety of strategies, activities, and resources that can be immediately used in the classroom. Whether you are new to teaching ECSE students, need a refresher, a new perspective, or just some new ideas, and have NOT participated in this training before, please join us as we embark on an expedition through the world of Early Childhood Special Education where The Adventure Awaits!
*Teachers only need to register for session 1 and will be manually registered for sessions 2-4 after session 1.
