Early Career VI Professionals

This session series is designed to provide support and resources for new and early career Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) and Orientation and Mobility Specialists.

Important Session Information:

Early Career VI Professionals series (101, 201, 301) is a three part course designed to support Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments (TVIs) and Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists (COMS) that are new to the field and have less than 3 years of professional experience. We will cover assessment, program implementation strategies, connecting with community partners such as HHSC, TWC and ECI professionals. Attendees will develop a deeper knowledge of legal guidelines and how to ensure that their services align with that which is required by law. This course is designed to build community by developing a cohort of new professionals who can continue to support one another in their growth and development as professionals.
