Texas-Teacher Evaluation Support System (T-TESS)
T-TESS (April 30th, May 1 and 2, 2024)




Texas has developed a new evaluation system for teachers and principals, The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS). The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System utilizes many tools that help support teacher instruction and student performance. This new system consists of: an evaluation rubric, a goal-setting plan, and an embedded student growth measure. T-TESS is intended to promote a growth mindset in educators by providing a structure to self-reflect and receive ongoing, meaningful feedback from educational practitioners.

 

 

·         An ILD or AEL certificate a is co-requisite for T-TESS Certification



Important Session Information:


This is a three (3) day training course.  Should a participant miss portions of the training, drop registration later than a week prior to the start date, or not attend without proper cancellation, he/she will be charged a $25.00 fee.

If you are a current administrator in a Region 10 District/Charter or Private School that has purchased the Administrative Services Package, there is no registration fee. For all other participants, there is a $450 registration fee due when registering.

Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)

The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) focuses on providing continuous, timely and formative feedback to educators so they can improve their practice. This is the state adopted model for teacher evaluation. In order to be a certified evaluator using this system, one must complete the following:  a 3 day T-TESS training and either Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) or Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL).
