The Public Funds Investment Act (PFIA) governs the investment of government funds in Texas. Under this law, specific parameters are set for Texas districts, requiring them to adopt an investment policy and to designate an investment officer who is required to attend an approved training course. The investment officer (superintendent and/or the CFO; CDA LOCAL) must attend at least one training session, ten hours in length, within 12 months after attaining their position and must take eight hours of instruction every two years after the initial training session.

This workshop will meet the training requirements under state law and are designed for beginners and professionals.

This is a two-day event and you will need to register for both days. The cost is free if your District/Charter Academy elected to purchase the Administrative Services Package, if not the cost is $200 per person per day.
