GT Pick-6: Powerful Pre-assessments
Gifted and Talented (3 hours, asynchronous)




Pre-assessing our students allows teachers to know, before instruction, what each student knows, understands, and is able to do. That allows us to focus instruction where the real needs are, and to differentiate for the students that may already have background knowledge on the topics/ standards. In this session, we’ll learn how to use pre-assessment to help differentiate for our gifted students. Three hours of credit includes a deeper dive into resources, and using one pre-assessment strategy with your students and collecting artifacts from the experience. This session is an asynchronous learning opportunity. Content will be shared via Peardeck slides and an application of learning and reflection will be submitted for credit.

Submissions will be due no later than midnight on April 10, 2023. Credit will not be granted until a week after the final due date of the course.
