Science (Grades K-5)
Elementary Science Cohort

This science professional learning opportunity will provide support in implementing the state science standards, using research-based instructional strategies focused on an inquiry approach, student discourse, and experiential learning that targets the needs of all elementary science students.

Important Session Information:

Region 10’s Elementary Science Cohort is a collaborative experience for any 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade educator teaching science during the 22-23 school year. The cohort will meet virtually during 10 one-hour sessions, each designed to preview upcoming content, address student misconceptions, and present lesson ideas to improve the student experience.

Educators are not required to attend all 10 sessions and can join at any point throughout the school year, getting credit for the hours they attend.

Asynchronous sessions will be provided, in the event of scheduling difficulties.

Join us for a unique opportunity to collaborate with science educators across North Texas as we plan rigorous science instruction for our new educational landscape!
