Gifted and Talented
Engineering in Nature (6 hour update)




This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.  

Important Session Information:


Engineering in Nature through the lens of Life Science. Science and engineering are not mutually exclusive subjects! Let’s explore new strategies to turn your environmental science projects into more creative pursuits through the lens of biomimicry. In this course, you will learn about the benefits of taking science lessons outdoors, how to plan for science in nature, and use engineering principles to connect emphasize critical thinking skills in science. The session takes place at Dallas Arboretum and will culminate with the creation of a hands-on science and engineering lesson.

  1. REGION 10 GIFTED AND TALENTED PACKAGE MEMBERS RECEIVE FREE REGISTRATION
  2. IF YOU DO NOT WORK FOR A DISTRICT THAT IS A MEMBER OF THE GIFTED AND TALENTED PACKAGE YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER WITH THE DALLAS ARBORETUM. MEMBERS OF THE DALLAS ARBORETUM PAY $55 AND NON MEMBERS OF THE DALLAS ARBORETUM PAY $60
