This workshop is designed for World Language (LOTE) educators whose learning goals are to improve instructional alignment and planning formative assessments (T-TESS Dimensions 1 and 2).  Educators will work collaboratively to unpack the TEKS within backward design to identify what students will demonstrate and teachers will measure.  In addition, participants will experience a model lesson and identify when and how the facilitator formatively assesses student performance.  Lastly, teachers will collaborate or plan a lesson with formative assessment and receive feedback on their work.
