Civil War Era Documents & Texas History: Investigation Workshop at the Pearce Museum




This Social Studies professional learning opportunity will provide support with implementing the Social Studies TEKS, research-based instructional strategies focused on inquiry, historical thinking and future-ready learning and access to quality resources targeted to provide support for all grade levels.


Important Session Information:


Participants will experience all of our offerings. They will see and hear our Living History presentation by General Robert E. Lee and General Ulysses S. Grant. Full, detailed tours of our Hunter Gatherer Gallery, Western Art Gallery, and Civil War Gallery. We will also take them into our archives to see actual documents and artifacts not available in the gallery. After lunch (on their own) the participants will enjoy a planetarium show in our newly refurbished and updated planetarium. We will end the day with a wrap-up session
