This in-person workshop is for administrators who directly support World Language teachers and programs. The goal of this workshop is to help campus administrators gain a comprehensive view of the desired results, acceptable evidence and aligned learning experiences that lead to student language development. After (re)connecting to knowledge regarding the proficiency movement and the TEKS, participants will examine key components of a successful World Language program including a model lesson, an aligned unit, and an aligned assessment with rubric. Participants will also work in groups to analyze teaching scenarios and decide what supports are needed to help World Language teachers grow in their skills.
