While participating in the event with their students, TVIs, O&Ms, and other staff who support students with visual impairments will learn how to effectively design a ECC training day for all students on their caseload.  They will learn what lesson plans should look like in order to align with TEKS and address the systematic instruction of ECC skills in all of the following areas: compensatory access, self determination, use of technology, O&M skills, as well career awareness.  They will learn how to use community resources, such as the boy scouts camp to learn how these skills can be taught with necessary accommodations.
