Creating a Culture of Questioning
Blended Learning January 13 - 27, 2022




In order for teachers to gauge how effectively students are learning, to to allow for students to articulate their understanding, and to appropriately challenge students to think critically, questioning is a key aspect of the teaching and learning process. Both teachers and students should be taught how to ask questions that lead to more sophisticated discussions and an increase in the students' ability to reflect on their own learning processes. In this session, teachers will learn about various questioning levels, strategies, and techniques. They will also learn about the importance of having students ask the questions, drive the conversations, and initiate the inquiry.

Both teachers and students should be taught how to ask questions that lead to more sophisticated discussions and an increase in the students' ability to reflect on their own learning processes. This session is a blended learning opportunity. A required Zoom on the specified date will include explanations of the remaining asynchronous work. Additional content will be shared via Google Site and an application of learning and reflection will be submitted for credit. Submissions will be due no later than January 27,2022.
