ELAR 6-12 - Conducting Reading Conferences

Reading conferences allow the teacher to monitor a student's reading and provide formative data about a student's progress.

Important Session Information:

When a teacher confers with an individual student or a small group of students, there is increased opportunity for formative assessment data and differentiation. Reading conferences provide reinforcement and/or enrichment of skills that lead to student growth. In this one-hour Zoom session, we'll explore the what, when, why, and how of conducting reading conferences with secondary students. Participants will evaluate a reading conference and collaborate to apply resources and strategies to their unique classroom community.
