The Guidelines provide challenging but achievable outcomes and concepts that children in high-quality Pre-K programs are to master in each domain as a precursor to the Kindergarten TEKS. Participants will examine the revised Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines and learn how to effectively incorporate them in a high-quality early childhood classroom. An overview of the following 10 domains will be explored:

Best practices that promote kindergarten readiness will be explored and discussed. Specific strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including struggling students, will also be included.
