School psychologists understand the biological, cultural, developmental, and social influences on mental and behavioral health, behavioral and emotional impacts on learning, and evidence-based strategies to promote social–emotional functioning. School psychologists, in collaboration with others, design, implement, and evaluate services that promote resilience and positive behavior, support socialization and adaptive skills, and enhance mental and behavioral health.


Important Session Information:


Trauma and its residual effects are a significant impairment to the academic success and mental well being of our students. Understanding trauma and being able to act as a trauma informed school psych can be a huge difference maker for your students. 

In this session, participants will:

  • Develop a foundation of trauma-informed practice
  • Consider the impact on trauma in our role with students
  • Learn where to find additional resources for further practice growth

The session is free to all staff in a Region 10 public LEA.
