Inclusion Co-Teach
Bridging the Gap: Making Inclusion Successful for All

Inclusion/co-teaching is designed to train general education teachers, special education teachers, and special education paraprofessionals on the multiple designs of teaching special education students in a general education classroom. This session meets the mandates of Every Student Succeeds Act and IDEA 2004, which require that all students have access to the grade-level curriculum to the maximum extent possible. This training is geared toward preparing teachers and paraprofessionals to work with all students regardless of student disability.

Important Session Information:

Successful inclusion in early childhood supports the needs of all young learners so that they can access and participate in the general education environment. In this session, participants will develop strategies to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children and develop problem solving skills to ensure successful inclusion for all learners. Participants will also discuss methods to build collaboration between general education and special education educators.
