This session begins on June 28, and ends on August 6. How do Social Studies teachers maximize instruction to ensure students are prepared for an informed civic life:”  Join us as we explore the book, Visible Learning for Social Studies by Julie Stern, and learn how the field of Social Studies is more than simply a memorization of dates and facts, but rather the “skillful ability to conduct investigations, analyze sources, place events in historical context, and synthesize divergent points of view.

**This is a self- paced course that will be open for 6 weeks. All course work will need to be submitted by August 6th to achieve full credit.

Participants will access all course content through Google document that will be shared on the start date. To receive credit for the 6 hours of CPE, participants will be required to submit evidence of completion of the activities throughout the book study, as well as a completed blueprint for kicking off their school year

Participants will need to purchase a copy of the book to participate.
