This workshop is designed for teacher leaders and teams who have developed a district-wide curriculum and are in the beginning stages of implementation (0-2 years). There are two pre-requisites to attend this workshop: 1) access to your district’s curriculum and 2) clearance from Dr. Clark to attend. In this two-day workshop, teacher teams will unite to examine approaches to successfully implementing their district-created curriculum. On day one, teams will reconnect to their district’s vision for World Language education, review their curriculum documents and learn how to pace unit learning on an instructional calendar. On day two, participants will learn how to design and grade a unit assessment and learn how to find effective authentic resources for interpretive tasks. Teams will also have time to discuss next steps and address potential challenges that may arise related to curriculum implementation.
