In this session, participants will engage in a learning routine that can be replicated to capitalize on student growth through the integration intended in the new ELAR TEKS. Using dialogic teaching, quickwrites, embedded grammar, and more, participants will experience how listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking can occur in a 45-minute routine. Although the routine can be applied to any genre, this session will focus on the many TEKS-based opportunities possible with fiction and drama.
