Data-Based Decision Making and Accountability for LSSPs
Effective Assessment Interpretation and Defensible Report Writing




As part of a systematic and comprehensive process of effective decision making and problem solving that permeates all aspects of service delivery, participants demonstrate skills to use psychological and educational assessment, data collection strategies, and technology resources. Results will be applied to design, implement, and evaluate direct interventions, psychological services, and programs.

PRESTENTER: Dr. Kathleen Krach

Defensible report writing is a necessary skill to keep you and your district out of legal trouble.  This workshop will discuss laws related to report writing.  In addition, Dr. Krach will discuss issues related to allowing technology to guide eligibility documentation and decisions.  Finally, participants will be given an opportunity to apply these skills using a mock case study.

In this session, participants will learn:

  1. Legal information from laws related to report writing.
  2. Information that should (and should not) be added to a psychological report.
  3. Pros and cons of using a report writing or eligibility determination software.
  4. How to minimize jargon in reports. 

This session is free to all Region 10 member districts and charters.
