**Please note, this learning experience is a virtual event and will not be hosted at a physical site.**
As a result of this blended learning experience, World Language educators will be able to define communication, language and comprehensible input. They will also be able to articulate what teachers do to make input comprehensible. Participants will first engage in independent learning on the foundations of second language acquisition and how the brain learns language through comprehensible input. Following the independent learning piece, educators will meet via zoom for a live demonstration of how to use comprehensible input with an analysis of the teaching moves required to teach in a way that enhances second language acquisition. After the initial meeting, teachers will work independently to plan their own lesson and meet again via zoom to share and receive feedback on their lessons. Zoom meetings are from 9:00-10:00 and 2:00-3:00. This workshop is ideal for teachers who are familiar with comprehensible input strategies and are seeking to deepen and receive feedback on their practice.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
