Sheltered Instruction is a way to differentiate and support your English Learners in the classroom in order for academic gains to occur. The Sheltered Instruction training includes a series of 6- 1 hour sessions that will guide the participants to learn best practices and strategies to incorporate in the classroom. Participants may register for each session separately. Our recommendation is that the participants take the introduction session first in order to get an overview and better understanding of Sheltered Instruction, the rest of the sessions can be taken in any order. This series will provide participants the flexibility to find a session that will best meet their needs and schedule.
"In this session, participants will learn about the elements of effective instruction for ELs. Basic concepts of second language acquisition will be discussed.
Participants will also analyze and understand the components of sheltered instruction
