The Child Nutrition Program provides technical assistance, training and resources to school districts in order to promote effective management of the federal funded nutrition programs. This is in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) regulations.

Local Farm Fresh Products Challenge

Strengthen children’s connection to Texas foods in schools. Learn about Texas Farm Fresh Challenge resources that will help your district go beyond simply adding a local food to the lunch menu – to engage students with classroom announcements, farm visits and hands-on activities; and learn about plans for the Farm Fresh Challenge in the  2020-2021 school year.
