Restorative Practices in the Classroom
Restorative Practice in the Classroom Agreements and Affective Language Training

Restorative Discipline is a relational approach to building a positive school or classroom climate addressing student behavior that fosters belonging over exclusion, social engagement over control, and meaningful accountability over punishment.

Important Session Information:

Please note that you will need a camera and microphone on your computer in order to participate in the course, as it will still have interactive portions.

The most informal approach to restorative practices is through the use of affective language. These crucial tools allow for real expression for both positive or negative behavior. Using affective statements or “expressing your feelings” is the easiest way to connect to another person. Affective questions help us reframe our thinking when dealing with conflict.

A link to the meeting will be sent out prior to the session.

This event is free to all Region 10 schools.
