SEL: Soothing our Stressed GT Students

Gifted individuals have added complexity in their thoughts and feelings that can lead to stress and anxiety. The pressure to excel, feelings of isolation, experiencing self-doubt, lacking appropriate intellectual challenges, and the need to prove their giftedness can all exacerbate their stress levels. In this session, we will discuss the warning signs of stress in our students, triggers for the pressures they are feeling, and how teachers can support and guide gifted students to cope with and manage their stress. This session will include a Zoom webinar and then asynchronous learning and activities to submit for credit.

Important Session Information:

**Please note, this learning experience is a virtual event and will not be hosted at a physical site.**
