Through the Library Lens
Primary Sources and Picture Books

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

According to the Library of Congress, “primary sources provide a window into the past—unfiltered access to the record of artistic, social, scientific and political thought and achievement during the specific period under study, produced by people who lived during that period” (Library of Congress).  The school library is the perfect avenue to bring these pieces together, using relevant picture books and digital resources to focus on primary sources.  This session will explore resources, literature, and best practices in supporting primary sources in the library.

Please bring a charged device capable of internet access.

NO Charge for Region 10 Library Cooperative members. In-Region, Non-coop members will be charged $100.00 at check out.

If paying with a P.O. please send a copy of the P.O. to Mary Matzek at mary.matzek@region10.org
