According to the Library of Congress, “primary sources provide a window into the past—unfiltered access to the record of artistic, social, scientific and political thought and achievement during the specific period under study, produced by people who lived during that period” (Library of Congress). The school library is the perfect avenue to bring these pieces together, using relevant picture books and digital resources to focus on primary sources. This session will explore resources, literature, and best practices in supporting primary sources in the library.
