This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.
This workshop is designed to help 8th grade and 11th grade U.S. History teachers emphasize the economic aspects of important events in American History. The workshop will cover the Economic underpinnings of the Constitution, examining why the colonists chose to fight, origins and implications of the Great Depression, and the question of whether free trade out of date, among other topics. All participating teachers will receive a copy of Economic Episodes in American History at the workshop and will have a classroom set shipped to them. In addition, participating teachers will receive a stipend of $100.00.
There will be a light breakfast and lunch catered for the event.
