LOTE
LOTE Foundations: Designing Lessons with Second Language Acquisition in Mind!

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

This face-to-face workshop will not be taking place.

The brain is naturally wired to learn language.  So how do you explicitly teach it?  Can lesson planning actually sabotage the second language acquisition process?  This session is designed for new LOTE teachers who are looking for survival skills and for veteran teachers who want deeper understanding of approaches to lesson planning that works with, not against, the second language acquisition process.  Participants will examine frameworks for lesson planning informed by SLA research, experience model lessons and work in discipline-specific clusters to practice their lesson writing skills!

THERE ARE TWO PRICE TIERS FOR THIS EVENT:

  1. FINE ARTS/LOTE COOPERATIVE MEMBERS RECEIVE FREE REGISTRATION.
  2. NON-FINE ARTS/LOTE COOPERATIVE MEMBERS PAY $150.00.

DISCOUNTS WILL BE REFLECTED AT CHECKOUT.
