This full-day workshop is intended for methods and foundations faculty, university supervisors, and mentor teachers who support or supervise candidates. In this workshop, a member(s) of the edTPA National Academy will:
- guide participants through a close examination of the edTPA tasks and rubrics as participants are given the opportunity to review and locally evaluate a teacher candidate's edTPA teaching portfolio specific to a participant's content area/field
- share several instrumental resources along with best practices from successful implementation plans and provide guidelines and best practices for supporting candidates as they are completing their edTPA portfolios
- and time will be allotted for participants to ask questions
All materials will be provided (lunch being on your own).
Note: The teacher candidate's edTPA portfolio has been previously locally evaluated, and local evaluation results will be shared with participants to develop a common understanding of the constructs and expectations of edTPA.
