Passport to Literacy: A Journey Through Balanced Literacy (K-5)
Day 3




This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.  


Important Session Information:


What is Balanced Literacy? We hear about it but do we know exactly what it means? In this three part, three day series, participants will gain a better understanding of Balanced Literacy as well as create lessons to implement within the Literacy Block. Day 2 of 3 will focus on Small Group Instruction and differentiation. We will explore Guided Reading, Book Clubs/Literature Circles, as well as ways to effectively group students for optimal growth in reading and writing.
