Intro to Artful Thinking




This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:


In this introductory workshop to Harvard’s Artful Thinking methodology led by museum educator Carolyn Armbruster, teachers learn how to promote critical thinking in the classroom by facilitating learner-centered conversations about artwork. In the afternoon, Region 10 Fine Arts/LOTE Consultant Meredith Clark will facilitate work time for teachers to plan instruction using the techniques learned in the morning. This session is open to teachers of all disciplines. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m., and the workshop begins at 8:30 a.m. Coffee will be provided.

THERE ARE TWO PRICE TIERS FOR THIS EVENT:

  1. FINE ARTS/LOTE COOPERATIVE MEMBERS RECEIVE FREE REGISTRATION.
  2. NON-FINE ARTS/LOTE COOPERATIVE MEMBERS PAY $150.00.
