Writers' Workshop
Why Use Writers' Notebooks?

This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.

Important Session Information:

Student notebooks should be used for more than just taking notes and storing student papers and worksheets.  During this session, participants will learn why we should use Writers’ Notebooks, how to organize them so that they are “living” tools for teaching and learning writer’s craft and building a life-long love of writing. Participants will also and experience highly engaging writing mini-lessons and other activities to use during the first few weeks of introducing Writers’ Workshop that will spark the “writer within” all students.
