Participants will learn to use universal design principles to plan engaging activities that stimulate critical thinking and problem solving in young children. Participants will gain specific strategies for differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students. Participants will learn to design activities and lessons that connect IEP goals and objectives with the Pre-K Guidelines. Through hands-on experiences, participants will gain strategies for designing rigorous, purposeful, play activities for early childhood classrooms. Best practices that promote kindergarten readiness will be addressed. Additionally, specific strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners will also be explored and discussed.
* This session is free to all Districts/ Charter Schools/Private Schools and who have joined the Region 10 Early Childhood Services and Prekindergarten Cooperative. All non-Region 10 participants will pay $150.00 per person for this event.
