SPP 7 reporting includes all children ages 3-5 with an IEP. This professional development session is designed to prepare diagnosticians, speech/language pathologists, preschool teachers and other early childhood professionals to complete the requirements for reporting student outcomes for SPP 7. This session is designed for those who are NEW to SPP 7 reporting and will contain comprehensive information regarding the Child Outcome Summary Process and completion of the Child Outcome Summary Form (COSF). It is suggested that teams attend this session if possible.

- Overview of the rationale and requirements for SPP 7
- Definitions for the three student outcomes
- Developing teams for completing the outcomes summary
- Defining procedures for the child outcome summary process
- Discussion of the seven ratings on the summary form
- Process for determining a rating for preschool-aged children receiving special education services
- Strategies for problem-solving when teams do not have consensus for a final rating
Strategies for analyzing compiled SPP 7 data
- Discussion on the use of SPP 7 data to develop strategies for continuous program improvement
