This Teaching & Learning professional learning opportunity will provide content, material, and strategies to assist educators in meeting the needs of students in their district.
This session is literally out-of-the-box and out of the building! We will meet at the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve at the picnic tables at the entrance for check in at 9:00 am. You will then be guided on an outdoor learning journey. The main focus is intertwining art, science, and nature, but we incorporate a cross-curricular aspect as much as possible. This is experiential and hands-on learning at its finest! The day will be spent outside with hands-on learning that will involve quite a bit of walking. Dress comfortably, pack lightly, and bring water/snacks. We’ll provide a clipboard and paper/handouts for you to jot down notes and ideas. You won’t need much else besides maybe insect repellant, a hat or sunglasses, and sun screen. Teachers will receive 6 CPE hours (6 hours) – GT hours is also available for those in the GT Co-op.
THERE ARE TWO PRICE TIERS FOR THIS EVENT
DISCOUNTS WILL BE REFLECTED AT CHECKOUT.
In the event of inclement weather, the session may be cancelled. For further information or questions, please text or email Holly Bishop at (214) 263-0518 or holly.bishop@region10.org.
