These trainings will cover content related to special education counseling services available to eligible students with disabilities through an IEP.
Important Session Information:
Special Education Related Service Counseling can be a powerful support in changing students' educational outcomes. Unfortunately, many school-based practitioners feel ill-equipped and unprepared to deliver effective services. This session will provide school based mental health professionals with information and strategies to increase their confidence and competence in the delivery of special education counseling services.
In this session, participants will:
1. Discuss and review different counseling methodologies for use in schools
2. Consider possible applications for various counseling methodologies
3. Discuss practical and logistical issues related to implementation of counseling
