Aligning to the TEKS for Active Learning

Active Learning is an instructional approach for students with significant cognitive disabilities or sensory impairments and complex access needs. This session will go over information related to implementing the Active Learning approach.

Important Session Information:

Students learning at a sensorimotor or preoperational level should still receive instruction on grade level academic standards. THis instruction will likely be done through prerequisite skills. During this session we will look at some resources to help align to grade level TEKS and discuss ways to utilize them to develop lessons for students in Active Learning.
