Social Studies (6-12)
Understanding the Cold War in Latin America (w/ Retro Report)

This Social Studies professional learning opportunity will provide support with implementing the Social Studies TEKS, research-based instructional strategies focused on inquiry, historical thinking, future-ready learning, and access to quality resources targeted to provide support for all secondary courses (grades 6-12).

Important Session Information:

The Cold War was an ideological, and sometimes military, struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union. By the 1950s, these tensions were seen in Latin America, and revolutions, coups, and uprisings became commonplace throughout most of the latter half of the twentieth century.  Explore several Retro Report video and resource collections related to the Cold War in Latin America. These interactive and FREE resources are a perfect fit for US History and World History classes.
