Ethics in Audiology: It is not illegal but is it ethical?

Shortly after graduation, many audiologists start their professional lives with a strong sense of ethical duty and a picture of right and wrong. However, professional isolation, falling into certain patterns and habits, or sway by outside influences can blur the lines as we professionally age. In this presentation, we will discuss the laws that govern audiological care as well as the code of ethics audiologists are required to follow in clinical practice. Finally, real life scenarios will be presented to the learner to help attendees apply their ethical knowledge to understand how respond when ethical conundrums occur in everyday practice.

Important Session Information:

• Understand the laws that govern audiology practice..
