**Please note, this learning experience is a virtual event and will not be hosted at a physical site.**
Course Format: This is an asynchronous, self-paced offering. There will not be any synchronous meetings through Zoom or other platforms. The dates and times listed mark the opening and closing window of the course timeframe. After registering, participants will receive an automated email from messenger@esclive with a link to a Google site that houses all course materials. Please make sure to check your spam/junk folder.
Course Content: Not only do the ELAR TEKS embody the interconnected nature of listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking, but also the ELAR TEKS should be bundled to support students’ success with complex texts in various genres. In this asynchronous session, participants will experience and evaluate an intentionally interconnected lesson routine for secondary ELAR students. To earn 1 credit hour, participants will watch about 21 minutes across 5 videos, post a revised QuickWrite response, and submit reflections in a credit request Google form. Participants will have the option to complete a lesson design for an additional 2 hours of credit.
Deadline for Submitting Work: Participants must complete and submit required work by the end of the course on June 25, 2024. A Region 10 consultant will review all submitted work after June 25, and credit will be awarded upon successful completion and review. It may take a week after the course closes for certificates to be awarded.
