The purpose of the Region 10 World Languages Comprehensive Skills Cohort is to help educators integrate skills related to planning, instruction, assessment, and redesign with the end goal of improving student language performance. Teachers in the cohort will attend three, interconnected workshops where they will learn how to: plan aligned instruction, improve the act of teaching with high leverage practices, assess student language performance more accurately, and evaluate language performance and teaching data to redesign and implement improvements. Cohort participants are encouraged to attend with other department members to increase the likelihood of changing adult behaviors that will improve student performance. To earn credit for the cohort, attendees must complete all cohort days including pre, during, and post workshop tasks.
Notes: Please bring a charged laptop, a sweater, and what you need to be comfortable. This workshop is FREE for teachers in districts who have signed up for World Language services through Region 10. For teachers in districts who have not contracted for services, the fee is $450
